Motörhead is an English rock band, formed in 1975 by bassist, singer, and all-around mascot Lemmy Kilmister. The legendary hard rock group is often credited for kicking off the resurgence of heavy metal in Britain. The band released 22 studio albums over a 43-year career, with many successful metal singles. No song could ever truly live up to the success of their classic metal staple, “Ace of Spades.” Motörhead was hard, fast, obnoxious, and unapologetic. In 2015, Lemmy Kilmister passed away, leaving the remaining members of the band to declare Motörhead officially done.
